Controversies faithfully follow Namitha wherever she goes. This time it is from Ooty, the queen of hills, where the glam-queen of Kollywood was on Wednesday to attend a function organised by a jewellery shop.

If reports are to be believed, an arterial road was closed for nearly two hours for the actress to perform on the stage and everyone from a State Minister to special invitees were waiting for nearly 45 minutes for her arrival.

And what more? A raid was also reportedly conducted at the spot by the officials of Forest Department, after animal activists informed them that snakes were brought to the show by one of the dancers.

According to K Srihari, president of the Naam Indhiyar organisation, it was pathetic to note that police pickets were posted in large numbers for a private firm to conduct a dance event. Police sources however said that they were not ready to take any chances since a State Minister and a popular actress were invited to the event.
